The Blackhawks committed two more penalties in the first five minutes of the second period but Detroit failed to capitalize. The closest the Red Wings came to scoring during that span was when Alex DeBrincat banged a shot off the right post.
Arvidsson finally put Detroit on the board at 7:31 of the period, deflecting William Wallinder’s point shot past Knight. DeBrincat had the second assist.
Frank Nazar earned a penalty shot after being hooked by Andreas Englund at 11:18 of the second period, but Gibson denied him with a pad save to keep the score tied.
Raymond scored just 1:09 into the third on a power play after he was the victim of a Patrick Kane high stick. Raymond flipped in a shot from the right circle with Moritz Seider and Arvidsson picking up the assists.
Arvidsson converted a rebound of DeBrincat’s shot with 4:34 remaining, then completed his hat trick with an empty-net goal.
